ProQuest Recruitment is currently looking for reliable, physically fit and hardworking Freight Sorters / Dock Hands to join a leading transport and logistics company based in Dandenong South.
n
With peak season approaching, we are looking to build a strong team of reliable people who are ready to work and want ongoing Monday to Friday employment.
n
The Role
n This is a hands-on and physical role working within a busy freight dock. You will be responsible for sorting and moving freight quickly and accurately to ensure deliveries are processed on time.
n

Sorting freight according to destination and location
n
Loading and unloading freight
n
Lifting and moving cartons and freight
n
Scanning and labelling freight
n
Assisting with general dock and warehouse duties
n
Working safely and efficiently as part of a team
n
Maintaining accuracy while working at a fast pace
n
n
No Experience Required!
n
Previous freight or warehouse experience is not essential.
n

Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work

Comfortable with regular lifting

Willing to learn and work hard

Able to work in a super-fast-paced environment

Comfortable standing and working on your feet for the duration of the shift

Able to read and confidently recognise the alphabet and different letters – this is an significant part of accurately sorting freight
n
Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
n
A team player with a positive attitude
n

Hours & Pay

Monday to Friday
n
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
n
$39 per hour
n
Ongoing work
n
Some flexibility around start and finish times is required, particularly as we move into peak season
n
Opportunity for additional hours as operational requirements increase
