Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in
Hay on Wye
. This role is ideal for HCAs confident in performing routine clinical tasks within structured GP clinic environments, providing hands‐on support to nursing and clinical teams.
n
You will assist with day‐to‐day treatment room duties, essential observations and routine procedures, ensuring smooth patient flow and consistent clinical support across the service.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature
n
Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings
n
Performing ECGs and basic health checks
n
Assisting with phlebotomy if trained
n
Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols
n
Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed
n




Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
n
Requirements n
n
Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS clinical settings
n
Confident performing routine clinical observations
n
Phlebotomy experience desirable
n
Strong communication and patient interaction skills
n
Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments
n
Enhanced DBS
