About the Facility n
Carmel Aged Care is a 120‐bed, purpose‐built facility in the Perth Hills suburb of Carmel, set among natural bushland about 30 minutes from the Perth CBD. The home features up-to-date wings with private ensuites, landscaped gardens and contemporary common areas that create a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
n We are looking for a Cook to join our aged care team at Carmel Aged Care, in a casual capacity.
About the Role n
The Cook is a key role that is a vital component for the well‐being of residents. The cook is responsible for the overall operations for the kitchen area of the Carmel facility.
n
The Cook is responsible for managing all aspects of kitchen operations.
n
We are seeking someone who can work on a Casual basis. Must be available to work weekends as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities n
n
Organise and implement food service in accordance with planned menus
n
Prepares and serves meals that align with the menu and complies with all necessary health standards
n




Analysis of all aspects of the operation to monitor and audit performance to ensure continuous improvements are achieved
n
Fosters the development of positive relationships with individuals, families, and staff.
n
Plan and implement daily food preparation lists for effective production
n
Effectively manages all aspects of the kitchen operations and environmental compliance requirements
n
Skills, Attributes and Experience n
n
Minimum of 6 months experience in commercial cookery
n
Personable, with a genuine empathy and enjoyment of working with people.
n
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
n
Experience in the hospitality environment
n
