An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Banking Manager, Team Leader to join a high-performing Finance function and lead a critical banking and reconciliation team.
n
The Position Reporting to the Head of Treasury, Banking and Payables, this leadership role is responsible for managing a team of five, including offshore team members, whilst overseeing the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of banking and balance sheet reconciliation activities.
n

Key Responsibilities n
n
Lead, mentor and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
n
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations relating to banking, cash and payment-related accounts.
n
Ensure reconciliation items are investigated, escalated and resolved within agreed timeframes.
n
Manage high-volume transaction reconciliations across multiple payment channels.
n
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between sales, settlement and banking data.
n
Partner with internal stakeholders to improve controls, processes and operational efficiencies.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities and process enhancements.
n
Support month-end, audit and compliance requirements through robust financial control practices.
n
Maintain and enhance reconciliation procedures, controls and documentation.
n
Skills and Experience n
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced finance professional with a strong background in banking operations, financial control, treasury or reconciliations within a complex, high-volume environment.
n
You will also demonstrate: Proven experience leading or supervising teams.
n
n
Strong balance sheet reconciliation expertise.
n
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
n
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build credibility across diverse stakeholder groups.
n
Strong Excel capability and experience working with large datasets.
n
The ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
n
