Job Description The Lead Solution Architect leads a small team of Solution Architects within the CER's Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, ensuring technology solutions are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives, enterprise architecture principles, and the CER technology strategy.
Requirements Key responsibilities: · Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Solution Architects, providing technical leadership, architectural direction, and quality assurance across solution design activities.
· Oversee the design and assurance of end-to-end technology solutions that meet business, security, performance, integration, and regulatory requirements.
· Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, to understand needs and translate requirements into solution architectures, and support informed decision-making.
· Develop and maintain solution architecture artefacts, including designs, diagrams, architectural decisions, and governance documentation.
· Provide architecture governance and delivery oversight, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, reusable patterns, and the CER target state.
· Contribute to enterprise architecture planning and roadmaps, aligning current delivery priorities with the CER's future-state business and technology strategy.
· Drive continuous improvement by evaluating technologies, processes, and practices, including emerging Microsoft technologies and their applicability to the CER environment.
Personnel requirements: · Minimum 5 years' experience in software, solution, or system architecture role within government or regulated environments, including the development of end-to-end solution designs, architectural artefacts.




· At least three 3 years demonstrated experience leading solution architecture teams or practices, including providing technical leadership, assuring the quality of architecture deliverables, mentoring and driving architecture capability uplift.
· Demonstrated experience working within scaled agile environments, including participation in Program Increment (PI) Planning and feature assessment, facilitating architecture team scrum events, and architecture work prioritisation.
· Strong knowledge of architecture governance, technology evaluation, and technical risk frameworks (e.g. SABSA, TOGAF), and experience in integrating emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) into existing enterprise architecture and technology ecosystems.
· Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to support delivery teams to document Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and architectural decision papers.
· Experience designing and governing solutions leveraging Microsoft technology stack, including: » Dynamics 365 » Power Platform » Azure services and cloud-native architectures » Power BI » .
NET Core Desirable requirements: · Relevant skilled certifications, such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and relevant Microsoft certifications.




· Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
· Current knowledge of Australian Government security (e.g. PSPF, ISM), privacy, digital, records management, and responsible AI requirements.
Requirements Key duties and responsibilities We are seeking a Senior Storage Engineer who has experience working in large complex ICT environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, managing and tuning the department's storage systems at physical and virtual layers.
The Senior Storage Engineer will also be responsible to deploy, configure and manage Storage Area Network Switches as required.
The successful candidate should have knowledge of new and emerging technologies to shape the future direction of the department's storage and data platforms.
The role requires producing design documents, build documents, operations document, handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members and mentoring junior team members.
Essential criteria 1.Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the design, administration, tuning and troubleshooting of one or more of the following storage systems: • HPE 3PAR, Primera, Alletra Storage Systems • NetApp E-Series • Dell Data Domain • Brocade Fabric Switches • SANnav • Scality Artesca 2.Ability to produce design, build and operations documents for processes and procedures.
3.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills to work with skilled technical people, including making presentations to staff and stakeholders and coaching staff.
4.Experience / Knowledge of following technology: • Veeam Backup and Replication
