Role Description This part-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role is based in Strathpine, QLD and focuses on paediatric clients within a multidisciplinary allied health setting.
The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and communication disorders, including dysphagia, across a varied caseload and age range.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and delivering evidence-based intervention in clinic and community settings.
The role involves collaborating closely with families, caregivers, and other health professionals,



providing education and practical strategies to support each child's progress and wellbeing.
The Speech Language Pathologist will also maintain accurate clinical documentation, contribute to service development, and participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional learning activities.
Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and the assessment and treatment of Speech and Language Disorders.
Candidates should possess expertise in managing Communication Disorders, including social communication and pragmatic language difficulties.
Candidates should possess skills in identifying and treating Dysphagia, with knowledge of secure swallowing practices and relevant assessment tools.
Candidates should possess the ability to develop individualized intervention plans, monitor outcomes, and adapt therapy based on client progress.
Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a family-centred, culturally sensitive approach to care.
Candidates should possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership or certification with appropriate professional bodies.
Candidates should possess current registration or license to practice (as required in the local jurisdiction), and hold or be willing to obtain working with children and background checks.
Candidates should possess a commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
