That's why we've created a structured 12-month New Graduate Occupational Therapist Program , designed around one simple philosophy: Building Competence Before Capacity.

The New Graduate Program Our graduate pathway is built around a structured competency framework that gradually progresses you through increasing levels of clinical responsibility.
You will receive:



Weekly supervision and mentoring Dedicated non-billable learning and development time Structured competency sign-off framework Gradual increase in billable expectations Regular clinical reviews and support meetings Protected learning time Exposure to a diverse range of client presentations Support with report writing, NDIS documentation and Functional Capacity Assessments Dedicated professional development opportunities Genuine career progression pathways following graduation Throughout the program you'll gain exposure to: Paediatric Occupational Therapy Autism ADHD Emotional regulation Executive functioning School participation Parent coaching Adult Disability Community Practice Functional independence Community participation Psychosocial disability Daily living skills Home and community assessments NDIS Assessment Pathways Functional Capacity Assessments Progress reporting Assistive Technology recommendations Home Modifications Home Living pathways Schedule of Supports development Professional Practice Skills Clinical reasoning Professional stakeholder management Caseload planning Report writing Participant management Occupational Therapy Assistant collaboration and delegation A Competency-Based Pathway Unlike many private practice graduate roles, productivity expectations are introduced gradually as your competence develops.
You will progress through structured stages including: Stage 1: Orientation Safe Practice Foundations Stage 2: Supported Assessment Intervention Stage 3: Referral Management Service Planning Stage 4: Participant Management Report Writing Stage 5: Caseload Ownership Clinical Independence Stage 6: Leadership Skills, Delegation Advanced Practice You will never be expected to operate beyond your demonstrated competence.
