Robert Half is currently partnering with a well-established business based in Canning Vale to recruit an Assistant Accountant for a 6-12 month temporary assignment.
This is a hands-on role offering a mix of Accounts Receivable, reconciliations and month-end accounting responsibilities.
We're looking for someone with a strong transactional finance background who is confident working across the broader accounting function.
The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include: Managing the day-to-day Accounts Receivable function, including customer enquiries, payment allocations and debt collection Completing daily bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records Processing customer payments and maintaining customer accounts Performing regular reconciliations between the general ledger and AR aged balances Preparing monthly customer statements and managing intercompany transactions Assisting with month-end close, including journal entries,



accruals and provisions Supporting depreciation adjustments and general ledger cost allocations Investigating invoice discrepancies and liaising with internal teams to resolve queries Assisting with ongoing process improvements and general finance support as required About You Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer or similar role Strong Accounts Receivable experience, including collections and reconciliations Experience assisting with month-end processes and general ledger journals A sound understanding of accounting principles Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Availability to commence at short notice What's on Offer?
