What does the job look like?
As the Site Manager for our Bowen operation, you'll take ownership of a busy rail and road freight site ensuring freight moves safely and efficiently across North Queensland.
Leading our local team, you'll drive operational performance, champion safety and build solid relationships with our customers and key stakeholders.
This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys making a visible impact every day.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity, working Monday - Friday from 5am - 1pm.
Key areas: Lead and support a team of drivers and operational employees, creating a positive, accountable and safety-focused culture Coordinate transport and rail planning activities, including resource allocation, train planning and freight execution Build strong relationships with customers, rail providers and key stakeholders to deliver exceptional service outcomes Champion safety initiatives including leading toolbox talks, WHS meetings, site inspections and continuous improvement Drive compliance across safety, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), operational procedures and legislative requirements Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement practical solutions.

You'll bring strong planning and leadership capability, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to build trusted relationships while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently.
You can demonstrate:
Prior experience leading Transport/Logistics, Rail or Depot operational teams Strong planning, allocation and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound operational decisions Experience building trusted relationships with customers, drivers and internal stakeholders Solid understanding of transport compliance, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and safety requirements High attention to detail and confidence working across operational processes and systems including transport management platforms and Microsoft Office suite You have a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify process improvement initiatives Forklift licence highly regarded, but not essential.
