About the role
Blue Wing Care is looking for a Physiotherapist to join our allied health team in Beenleigh and across South East Queensland.
The work is NDIS disability physiotherapy rather than musculoskeletal private practice: mobility, positioning, transfers, respiratory care, falls prevention and manual handling for people with significant and often lifelong disability.
You will see the same people over months and years, which is the part most physios say they miss.
Our supported living teams carry out what you prescribe, and you will train them to do it properly.
What you will do
Assess and treat mobility, posture, positioning and transfers
Prescribe mobility equipment, seating and pressure care in partnership with our occupational therapists
Write and review manual handling plans, and train support workers to follow them
Contribute to complex and high-intensity support planning alongside behaviour support and nursing
Keep clinical notes and documentation to NDIS Practice Standards
What you bring
Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
A current Australian driver's licence and a roadworthy, insured vehicle
A valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance
A valid Blue Card
First Aid and CPR training, or willingness to complete it
Experience in disability, paediatrics or neurological rehabilitation is valued.
It is not a requirement.
What we offer
A clear, realistic billable expectation you will know before you start
Equipment and seating budgets that exist, and an OT team to prescribe alongside
Supervision from clinicians who carry a caseload themselves
Permanent full-time, with part-time and contract arrangements open to discussion
Laptop and phone provided
Funded career development
We are an approved sponsor and welcome applications from overseas-qualified clinicians who want to relocate to Australia.
