About the Opportunity
As a Solution Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting business acquisition and retention initiatives across FCM's Large Market and Specialist (LMS) brands.
You will partner closely with Sales, Account Management, Product, and Technology teams to showcase our technology capabilities and demonstrate why we are the partner of choice for mid-market and large corporate customers.
This highly consultative role combines technology expertise, customer engagement, solution design, and stakeholder management to help win and retain strategic accounts.
You'll work directly with corporate travel managers, procurement leaders, technology stakeholders, consultants, and executive decision-makers to deliver impactful technology demonstrations and discussions.
This role can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
What you will do:
Partner with sales and account management teams to support customer acquisition and retention opportunities
Lead engaging technology demonstrations for prospects and existing customers
Facilitate technical discussions with corporate travel managers, procurement teams, technology stakeholders, and executive leaders
Act as a trusted technology advisor throughout the sales and customer lifecycle
Translate customer business requirements into technology solution recommendations
Collaborate with product and technology teams to ensure solutions align with customer needs
Build confidence in our technology offerings through consultative engagement and solution expertise
Support strategic account presentations, workshops, and technical consultations




Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Travel as required to support customer engagement and business opportunities
Contribute to continuous improvement of solution demonstration and customer engagement practices
What you will need:
Essential
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Solution Engineer, Pre-Sales, Sales Support, Technical Consultant, or similar customer-facing technology role
Robust presentation, demonstration, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience conducting technical workshops, solution discussions, or customer consultations
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
Demonstrated business acumen and customer-centric mindset
Strong problem-solving, organisation, and time management capabilities
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Desired
Travel industry/TMC experience
Technical consultancy experience
Sales support or pre-sales experience
Degree qualification in a relevant discipline
