We are seeking a
Chartered Design Engineer
with strong experience in wastewater treatment and water infrastructure to lead the technical design and delivery of complex wastewater and treatment projects across
Queensland
.

The role will be responsible for developing practical, compliant and cost-effective engineering solutions from concept through to detailed design, while providing technical leadership to project teams, clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities n
Lead the engineering design of wastewater treatment plants, pumping systems and associated infrastructure.
n
Develop concept, preliminary and detailed designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
n
Provide technical leadership and engineering assurance across project delivery.
n
Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, calculations and technical reports.
n
Promote and present our systems to consultants and counsel, building strong relationships and driving awareness and adoption of our solutions.
n
Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, regulatory requirements and client specifications.
n
Work closely with process, mechanical, electrical, civil and project engineering teams.
n
Support project planning, estimating, tendering and technical submissions.
n
Liaise with clients, authorities, contractors and suppliers.
n
Identify technical risks and develop practical engineering solutions.
n
Mentor and support graduates.
n




Contribute to continuous improvement, design standards and engineering methodologies.
Key Skills & Experience n
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering.
n
Chartered Professional Engineer status with Engineers Australia.
n
Significant experience in wastewater treatment and water infrastructure.
n
Strong understanding of treatment processes, pumping systems and hydraulic principles.
n
Experience delivering engineering designs from concept through construction.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
n
Proven technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.
n
Strong report writing, documentation and communication skills.
n
Experience with engineering design and modelling software.
n
Ability to manage multiple projects and technical priorities.
n
Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving capability.
