Contracts Administrator/Quantity Surveyor - Major $70M Civil Project

We are currently seeking an experiencedContracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyorto join a leadingTier 3 civil contractoron a complex$70 million major project, located approximately three hours from Brisbane.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional looking to take the next step in their career and gain exposure to a significant, technically complex civil project while working alongside an experienced commercial team.
The Prospect
Working on site and reporting directly to theCommercial Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day contract administration and commercial functions across the project.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the day-to-day contract administration requirements of the project
Subcontract administration and management
Preparation and assessment of progress claims
Variations, extensions of time and contractual correspondence
Cost reporting and forecasting
Procurement and commercial support
Managing subcontractor claims and commercial negotiations
Maintaining accurate project records and contractual documentation
Supporting the Commercial Manager across broader project commercial matters
Working closely with project management, engineering and construction teams
About You
We are looking to speak withContracts Administrators or Quantity Surveyorswho have:
5+ years' post-graduate experience
Previous experience working for aTier 2 or Tier 3 civil contractor
Strong contract administration and commercial skills
Experience working on complex civil construction projects
A solid understanding of subcontract management, variations and claims
Strong communication and negotiation skills
The ability to work autonomously in a site-based environment
A practical, commercial approach and strong attention to detail
The Project & Roster
This is a genuine opportunity to work on a$70 million complex civil projectand gain valuable exposure to a major project environment.
The project is located approximatelythree hours outside Brisbaneand operates on a2 weeks on / 1 week off DIDO roster.
