Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Boilermaker / Welder to join our team based in Pakenham. This is a casual position offering stable, consistent full-time hours (40 hours per week), with a view to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate. Your standard week will consist of 38 ordinary hours plus 2 hours of regular rostered overtime.
Key responsibilities n
Fabricate, assemble, and weld steel structures and components to high standards.
n
Interpret and work accurately from technical engineering drawings and blueprints.
n
Utilise various welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Stick as required) and workshop machinery.
n
Conduct self-inspection of welds to ensure quality and compliance.
n
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
About you n
Trade Qualification as a Boilermaker, Fabricator, or First-Class Welder.
n
Proven experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
n
Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings independently.
n
High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
n
Valid White Card and relevant welding tickets (highly regarded).
n
Current driver's licence and reliable transport to Pakenham.
n
Flat casual rate of $50/hr (inclusive of 25% loading) with excellent compounded overtime rates for hours worked over 38.
n
Consistent 40-hour work week in a local, thriving workshop.
n
