QIX Consultantis partnering with an established and growing Accounting firmacross Melbourne's CBD outskirtsWe are seeking talented Intermediate and Senior Accountants ready to join a supportive, high-performing public practice team.
n
These opportunities offer exposure to diverse client portfolios, ongoing professional development and genuine career progression. You will work closely with experienced managers and partners while developing your technical and advisory capabilities.
Key Responsibilities n
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:
n
Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
n
Preparing BAS, IAS and other statutory compliance documents
n
Managing a portfolio of business services and taxation clients
n
Assisting clients with tax planning and business advisory matters
n
Conducting tax research and staying informed about legislative changes
n
Maintaining accurate and organised client records
n
Liaising with the ATO and responding to queries and notices
n
Identifying taxation and accounting issues and recommending practical solutions
n
Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
n
Building robust relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
About You n
To be considered, you will have:
n
Previous Australian public practice accounting experience—essential
n
Relevant experience at either Intermediate or Senior Accountant level
n
A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
n
CA or CPA qualifications, or progress towards completion, highly regarded
n
Sound knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirements
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
n
Confidence using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
What's on Offer? n
Intermediate Accountant packages of
$90,000–$110,000, inclusive of super plus bonuses
n
Senior Accountant packages of
$120,000–$150,000, inclusive of super plus bonuses
n
