My client is an established, multi-entity business operating across engineering and project-based environments, looking for an experienced Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager to join their Sydney CBD team.
The Role n
A broad Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager opportunity, reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Group Financial Controller across Group reporting, consolidation, technical accounting and finance systems. Responsibilities will include:

Managing Group reporting and monthly consolidation processes
n
Preparing and reviewing consolidation journals, eliminations and intercompany reconciliations
n
Overseeing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
n
Supporting BAS, tax and statutory reporting requirements
n
Reviewing WIP, project costing and other key accounting areas
n
Maintaining reporting structures, mappings and general ledger governance
n




Supporting the transition from Infor LN to Accentis
n
Identifying and improving finance processes and controls
n
Mentoring and developing junior Finance team members
n
Working closely with the CFO, Group Financial Controller and wider business
n
About You n
n
Strong experience within engineering, project-based or similar environments
n
Strong WIP and project costing experience
n
Robust technical accounting skills across BAS, tax and month-end
n
Previous experience mentoring or supervising Finance staff
n
Consolidation and multi-entity reporting experience
n
Accentis experience highly desirable
n
Finance systems implementation experience highly regarded
n
Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
n
CA/CPA qualified preferred, but not essential
n
