Based at Essendon Fields and reporting to the Financial Controller, this is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join the growing team at ZEEKR Essendon. About the Role n
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support the finance function across a variety of accounting and administrative responsibilities, including:

Assisting with month-end and year-end processing
n
Preparing and maintaining account reconciliations, including bank, stock, debtors and creditors
n
Accurate data entry and maintenance of financial records
n
Assisting in the preparation of Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports
n
Supporting BAS preparation and compliance requirements
n
Assisting with cash flow reporting and budget tracking
n
Supporting the preparation of monthly financial statements
n
Maintaining fixed asset registers and asset management records
n
Assisting with management reporting and financial analysis
n
Ensuring financial documentation and records remain accurate and compliant
n
About You n
You are a motivated and detail-focused finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively and is keen to develop your accounting career. You'll bring:
n
n
Previous experience in a finance, accounts or assistant accountant role
n
Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
n
Solid attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
n
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
n
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using financial systems
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
n
Progress towards or interest in pursuing CA/CPA studies (highly regarded)
n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline (completed or in progress)
