Clinical Nurse Educator (Perioperative)
Employment Term: Permanent Full Time Commencing November **** Location: Position will be supporting our two Brisbane Metro Hospitals - The Wesley Hospital in Auchenflower and St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital in Spring Hill.

Your part in our UnitingCare team
As Clinical Nurse Educator - Periop you will make a significant contribution to the clinical education of current and new staff in the periop and procedural space.
Working closely with the unit managers, perioperative education team, and the UC Metro Education Manager, you will develop and execute training and education to meet the identified learning needs of perioperative nursing staff.
You will also assist with facilitating instructor led hospital mandatory training, and ALS and PALS training.
As Clinical Nurse Educator - Perioperative,
you will work with the education team to provide education that meets the metro hospitals' broader objectives; and be committed to providing education that is evidence based and demonstrates best practice.
The successful applicant will join UC Metro Education but will be located across The Wesley and St Andrew's War Memorial Hospitals; and will work under the direction of the UC Metro Education Manager.
Requirements & Responsibilities
Experience in clinical education and teaching
Significant recent nursing experience in Anaesthetics or Recovery, and a commitment to maintaining contemporary clinical practice and competence
Post graduate qualification or working towards a post graduate education qualification/ post graduate clinical specialty qualification
At minimum hold a Level 2 Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse)
Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication, and excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
