nOur client, Aulakh Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Painter to join their team. n
n
nTasks Include: n
n•Clean, sand, and smooth surfaces. Fill cracks, holes, and joints with putty or fillers to ensure a smooth surface before painting. n
n•Select, mix, and apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns. Follow paint manufacturers' instructions to ensure consistency and durability. n
n•Use masking tape, drop cloths, and other materials to protect areas not being painted. Remove fixtures like doorknobs, windows, or switch covers where necessary. n
n•Assist in estimating the amount of material and time required for jobs and maintain accurate records of work performed. n
n•Apply paints, wallpaper, decorative finishes, and special effects such as marbling or wood-graining as required by the client specifications. n
n•Fixing woodwork, filling or sealing holes, cracks and joins and washing them down to remove dust and grease. n




n•Provide colour matching services and advise clients on colour selections based on their preferences and the design of the space. n
n•Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Ensure a safe work environment by using appropriate protective equipment. n
n•Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and workspaces after completing each job. Ensure all tools are in good working order. n
n•Work alongside other trades professionals to ensure that all finishing touches align with the overall construction project. n
n
nQualifications and Requirements n
n•Certificate III level qualifications or equivalent in Painting and Decorating or another relevant field. n
n•At least 1 year of relevant experience working as a Painter. n
n•Ability to problem solve and have critical thinking skills. n
n•Good oral communication skills. n
n•Proficiency in various painting techniques, tools, and materials. n
n•Knowledge of colour theory, surface preparation, and finish application. n
n•Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on quality and precision. n
n•Physical stamina and the ability to work in different environmental conditions (indoors and outdoors).
