Job Description
Council is looking for two Accounts Receivable Officers to join its Finance team.
n
The Accounts Receivable Officer oversees end-to-end accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate billing, effective management of outstanding accounts, timely collection of debts, and strong customer support.
What you'll do: n
n
Process invoices, credit adjustments, receipts, and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
n
Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements using approved documentation.
n
Allocate and reconcile customer payments, ensuring account accuracy.
n
Monitor outstanding accounts, follow up overdue balances, and support debt recovery.
n
Resolve invoice enquiries and disputes with customers and Council staff.
n
Perform reconciliations, support reporting and audits, and contribute to process improvements and team support.
n
Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures.
n
Other duties as reasonably directed by the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer.

What we're looking for: n
n
Relevant qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, business or a related discipline or relevant experience.
n




Demonstrated experience in high-volume financial transaction processing, preferably in a medium to large organisation.
n
Robust computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and the ability to work confidently with financial management systems.
n
High level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to maintaining complete audit trails and financial records.
n
Proven effective time management with the ability to work autonomously.
n
Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
n
Must hold a current C Class Drivers Licence.
