Strive is looking for a Therapeutic Care Leader to join our Bundaberg team!
n
This isn't your typical management role.
n
It's a hands-on leadership position where you'll combine direct therapeutic care with team leadership, coaching and service oversight – helping create a safe, stable and nurturing home where young people can thrive.
n
What you'll be doing
n
You'll lead one of our residential Out of Home Care homes in Bundaberg, working alongside a dedicated team to support young people with complex needs and trauma backgrounds.
n
You'll:
n
n
Spend at least one shift each week directly supporting young people, building relationships and creating positive experiences.
n
Lead, coach and mentor your care team to deliver consistent, high-quality therapeutic support.
n
Embed trauma-informed and therapeutic practice into everyday care.
n
Help create a safe, nurturing and home-like environment where young people feel valued, heard and supported.
n
Work with young people and their support networks to achieve meaningful individual goals.
n
Build strong relationships with families, professionals and other key stakeholders.
n
Ensure high-quality case notes, reports, care plans and other documentation.
n
Support staff performance, professional development and a positive workplace culture.
n
Maintain compliance with OOHC legislation, HSQF standards and Department of Child Safety requirements.
n
Assist with the effective management of the home's operating budget.
n
Provide managerial oversight during rostered on-call periods.
n
n
You'll also have the opportunity to work from home were approved by the Regional Manager.
n
What we're looking for
n
We're looking for someone who can lead with purpose, care with compassion and make things happen.

You'll bring:
n
n
Experience working therapeutically with children, young people and families.
n
Experience supporting young people with complex needs and trauma backgrounds.
n
Experience in residential OOHC and/or multidisciplinary environments.
n
Strong communication, relationship-building and advocacy skills.
n
The ability to coach, mentor and develop others.
n
Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
n
Confidence working independently while being a solid team player.
n
A genuine commitment to the safety, wellbeing and participation of children and young people.
n
n
Essential requirements you will need
n
n
Certificate IV in Community Services, Youth Work, Disability or equivalent, consistent with Queensland residential care requirements.
n
Current Paid Blue Card / Working with Children Check.
n
Current HLTAID011/ HLTAID009 Provide First Aid Certificate or commitment to obtain
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
NDIS Workers Orientation Module or willingness to complete
n
Hope and Healing module or willingness to complete
n
Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
n
n
