We're seeking an experienced leader to head our Engineering & Technical Services function within the C-27J Program. This is a senior leadership prospect responsible for leading a large technical workforce, driving customer outcomes, developing capability, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of engineering services in a dynamic operational environment.
What You'll Don
n
Lead and develop a high-performing engineering and technical services team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
n
Provide strategic, tactical and operational leadership to ensure customer requirements and contractual obligations are successfully delivered.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships across customers, program leadership, engineering teams and key operational stakeholders.
n
Oversee planning, prioritisation, scheduling, resource management and reporting across a diverse portfolio of engineering activities.
n
Drive workforce planning, capability development and succession planning to support current and future business needs.
n
Work collaboratively across engineering, maintenance,
supply chain, flight operations, training and capability development functions to achieve integrated outcomes.
n
Lead the delivery of critical engineering and airworthiness services while maintaining a robust focus on safety, quality and compliance.
n
Manage risk, issues and opportunities, ensuring effective governance, reporting and decision-making.
n
Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering systems, processes and business performance.
n
About Youn
n
Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
n
Proven experience leading and developing large, multi-disciplinary teams.
n
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
n
Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity and deliver outcomes in fast-paced environments.
n
Strategic mindset with strong operational execution capability.
n
Experience within Defence, aerospace, aviation or another highly regulated industry is highly regarded.
