production kitchen
, where we produce a growing range of ready-to-eat meals, salads, sauces, soups, baked goods and other products for our supermarket.

We're looking for an experienced
Chef
to take ownership of our production kitchen, lead our team and work directly with the owner to develop and grow our food range.

The Role n
You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our production kitchen while having genuine input into
what we make, how we make it and how we grow the range
.
n
You'll work closely with the owner on new product and recipe development while ensuring the kitchen delivers outstanding quality, consistency and efficiency every day.
n
The role combines
food, creativity and leadership
with the commercial side of running a successful production kitchen.
What You'll Be Responsible For n
n
Improving existing recipes, quality and consistency
n
Maintaining consistently high food-quality standards
n
Managing food costs, portioning, yields and wastage
n
Ordering and managing ingredients and kitchen inventory
n
Ensuring recipes and production processes are followed consistently
n
Maintaining excellent food-safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
n
Identifying opportunities to improve kitchen productivity and efficiency
n
Developing products suitable for both retail and wholesale
n
About You n




We're looking for someone who genuinely loves food but also understands that a great kitchen needs to be organized, consistent and commercially minded.
n
Ideally, you'll have:
n
n
3-5+ years' experience
as a Chef, Sous Chef, Production Chef or Kitchen Manager
n
n
n
Excellent organisation and production-planning skills
n
High standards around food quality, presentation and food safety
n
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
n
A hands-on attitude and willingness to lead from the front
n
The desire to help build and improve something rather than simply maintain it
n
n
Experience in a
production kitchen, catering, ready-meal manufacturing, supermarket kitchen, large-scale restaurant or other high-volume food operation
would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
