We are looking to hire a driven and enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to complement our highly skilled team. This is a permanent full-time position based in our Jandakot Office.

Responsibilities
n
n
n
Creating conceptual designs.
n
Performing engineering calculations and analysis.
n
Conducting or participating in design reviews.
n
Creating complete design packages with drawings, BOM's, and documentation.
n
Designing enabling equipment, such as test fixtures, handling aids, etc.
n
Participating in operational risk assessments.
n
Designing modifications to existing equipment.
n
Preparing scopes of supply and general arrangements.
n
Providing cost estimates for proposals.
n
Preparing project-specific procedures or manuals.
n
Performing product testing onshore or offshore.
n
Writing test procedures and building specialized testing equipment.
n
Writing and reviewing technical proposals and specifications.
n
Supporting and communicating with customers, project managers, project engineers, and technicians.
n
Providing engineering status and progress reports.
n

Qualifications
n
n
Essential Qualifications and Attributes:
n
n
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
n
Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar 3D CAD packages.
n
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
n
Uncompromising attitude toward safety.
n
Minimum 1-3 years' relevant engineering experience.
n

Desired Qualifications and Attributes:
n
n
Experience performing FEA, structural calculations, and hydraulic analysis.
n
Knowledge of subsea ROV tooling is strongly desired.
n
Knowledge of operations in the subsea industry is strongly desired.
n
Experience with electro-hydraulic control systems.
n
Ability to work within tight deadlines.
n
Ability to work under general direction.
n
Ability to work in a high-pressure onshore/offshore setting.
n
Studies or project work with ROV and/or Subsea equipment design and engineering.
n
Hands on mechanical experience such as building or repairing large or small engines or machines.
