We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to guide and manage our Library Children and Young People team.

In this role you will: n
n
Contribute to the development and delivery of innovative, high-quality library services that inspire, engage, and support children, teens, and families.
n
Lead and support a dynamic team delivering programs and services for children and young people
n
Drive service excellence through innovation, collaboration, and community engagement
n
Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement within the library service
n
Build strong partnerships with community organisations to enhance service reach and impact.
n
Foster positive, inclusive, and customer-focused team culture.
n
About You n
n
Tertiary qualification in Library and Information Studies or other relevant area of study/experience.
n
1-2 years' experience in a children's library setting, budget management, project management and staff supervision, with proven capacity to lead and develop staff within a library workplace.
n
Demonstrated experience in children's
programming/education.
n
Strong technical skills and a high level of digital literacy.
n
Proven ability to embrace change and engage, lead and inspire others to achieve outcomes for the benefit of the organisation and community.
n
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to deal with difficult customers.
n
Proven experience in delivering quality customer service and a positive, professional and cooperative approach to working with others.
n
Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with a versatile approach to work and the ability to meet deadlines.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
n
