7 years' post-graduate experience

About the Role
n
nAs a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will operate at an advanced practice level, managing a complex paediatric caseload (0-18 years) while dedicating structured time to supervision, mentoring, and internal training. You will work across clinic, school, and community settings, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to clinical governance, innovation, and service excellence. n

Key Responsibilities
n
nAdvanced Clinical Practice n
n
Deliver comprehensive assessments and evidence-based interventions for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and complex communication needs.
n
Develop goal-driven, family-centred therapy plans aligned with functional and outcomes.
n
Provide consultation and intervention within schools and community environments.
n
Liaise closely with other allied health professionals, educators, and families to ensure integrated care.
n
Facilitate group programs and contribute to service innovation.
n
Maintain high standards of documentation, reporting, and NDIS compliance.
n
Consistently achieve strong client satisfaction outcomes.
n
Leadership,
Mentoring & Clinical Support n
n
Provide regular supervision and mentoring to speech pathologists.
n
Support early-career clinicians in clinical reasoning, caseload management, and professional development.
n
Deliver internal training and contribute to peer learning sessions.
n
Assist in onboarding new clinicians.
n
Provide feedback to leadership on service delivery and team development.
n
Model best practice in professionalism, time management, and documentation standards.
n

Contribute to service development initiatives and clinical pathway design.
n
Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement activities.

What We're Looking For
n
Essential:
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
n
Registration with Speech Pathology Australia
n
Minimum 7 years' post-graduate experience
n
Demonstrated experience managing complex paediatric caseloads
n
Proven experience mentoring or supervising early-career speech pathologists
n
Robust clinical reasoning and documentation skills
n
Understanding of NDIS frameworks
n
Current Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening & Police Check
n
Highly Regarded:
n
n
Experience providing formal clinical supervision
n
Postgraduate training in paediatrics, disability, or related specialty areas
n
Experience designing and facilitating group programs
n
Experience contributing to service development or quality initiatives
n
