Job Description
A newly created role within an ASX-listed company with a nationally dispersed workforce. This is a 12-month fixed term position with hybrid working from our office in Melbourne's CBD.
n
Key responsibilities:
n
Review and assess flexible working arrangement requests, considering legislative requirements, operational needs and relevant internal policies, and prepare explicit recommendations and correspondence.
n
Support the ER/IR Team with compliance matters, including reviews of employment practices, industrial instruments, policies and legislative obligations.
n
Support strategic bargaining activity through the preparation of benchmarking, trend analysis and comparative documents.
n
Assist with workplace investigations, including reviewing investigation reports and outcome letters for accuracy, consistency and procedural fairness.
n
Maintain accurate and appropriate records of interactions with team members and leaders, advice provided, and case management activities.
n
Provide support on complex cases, escalated matters and litigation as required.
n
Contribute to excellent ER service delivery through accurate and timely reporting, insights and trend analysis, and recommendations for process improvement.
n
Assist with regular updates and briefings on changes in employment and industrial relations law.
n
Maintain current knowledge of human resources and industrial relations frameworks, legislation, policy and practice.
n
Experience required:
n
Tertiary qualifications in Law are preferred but not essential.
n
Previous experience in a similar role providing ER or IR advice to team members and leaders, with demonstrated knowledge of employment-related legislation, industrial instruments and Modern Awards.
n
Strong knowledge of, and experience interpreting, industrial instruments, including enterprise agreements and awards, HR policies and legislation, and providing practical advice regarding outcomes would be highly regarded.
n
Strong analytical capability, including confidence working with Excel spreadsheets, data, benchmarking and trend analysis.
n
Sound written communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
n
Strong time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement.
n
