Due to an immediate business need, they are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a temporary basis with an immediate start. This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional with strong SCHADS Award and Micropay experience to step into a busy role and provide valuable support to an established team.
Key responsibilities n
n
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 150+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
n
Process payroll changes including recent starters, terminations, leave, adjustments and other employee movements
n
Interpret and apply the SCHADS Award and relevant employment conditions
n
Maintain accurate employee records and payroll master data
n
Manage payroll queries and provide timely support to employees and stakeholders
n
Reconcile payroll reports, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues
n
Ensure compliance with taxation, superannuation, award and payroll legislation
n
Assist with payroll reporting,
audits and year-end processes
n
Support the wider payroll team with day-to-day payroll requirements
n
Identify and implement opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
n
Ideal candidate n
n
Significant experience managing end-to-end payroll
n
Strong knowledge and practical experience applying the SCHADS Award
n
Micropay payroll experience is essential
n
Experience processing payrolls for 150+ employees
n
Experience within disability, community services or a similar environment is highly desirable
n
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Ability to hit the ground running and work effectively in a busy environment
n
Proactive and hands-on approach with a strong focus on getting things right
