Our client is a well-established, forward-thinking accounting and advisory firm with offices in Toowoomba and Warwick. They look after a loyal, diverse base of business and individual clients across the Darling Downs. The firm is growing and invests in its people, with a clear focus on developing future leaders.
The Role n
This is a senior, client-facing role for an accountant who is ready to step up. You will take ownership of an established client portfolio, build solid long-term relationships and act as the main point of contact and trusted advisor to your clients. You will be based in Toowoomba, with regular travel to the Warwick office and a company car provided.
Key responsibilities include: n
n
Taking ownership of a portfolio of business clients and building long-term relationships
n
Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
n
Leading and reviewing work from the firm's offshore team, including allocating work and quality control
n
Tax planning and proactive advisory for clients
n
Liaising with clients, the ATO and other advisors
n
Mentoring and supporting junior team members
n
Travelling to Warwick to meet clients and support the local office
n
About You n
n
Degree in Accounting or Commerce, with CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion)
n
5+ years of Australian public practice experience in business services
n
Confident working directly with clients and owning relationships
n
Experience reviewing work and supporting junior and offshore team members, with the opportunity to take on greater leadership responsibility
n
Strong technical knowledge across tax and compliance
n
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to Warwick
n
