Our client is a well-established and growing organisation with operations across several states and its head office based in Melbourne. They have a supportive, people-focused culture and are now looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead their finance function through the next stage of growth.
The Role n
Reporting to the executive team, you'll lead and develop a finance team and take ownership of day-to-day finance operations. A key focus will be making processes, controls and reporting consistent across the business, using technology to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team
n
Strengthening financial controls and governance
n
Delivering monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, budgets and forecasts, with insightful commentary
n
Overseeing cash flow, treasury and transactional finance
n
Managing all tax and statutory compliance
n
Managing the relationships with the external auditors and tax advisers
n
Driving system and process improvements to reduce manual work and improve reporting
n
n

The Successful Candidate n
You'll be a hands-on, practical finance leader with high standards and a collaborative style. You'll bring:
n
n
CA or CPA qualifications
n
Initial expereince in a chartered firm environment - e.g. big 4 or mid-tier - is advantageous
n
Several years in a senior finance leadership role
n
Experience in a multi-site or decentralised business
n
Solid budgeting, cash flow, consolidation and controls experience
n
A proven ability to lead and develop a team
n
Solid knowledge of Australian tax and statutory requirements
n
Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (Xero highly regarded)
n
A strong continuous-improvement mindset
