Our Client, Sandhu & Chouhan Produce is seeking an experienced and motivated Facility Supervisor to join our established horticultural farming operation in Bucca, NSW. n
n
nTasks Include: n
n
n• Oversee the day-to-day operations of packing sheds, grading areas, cold rooms and storage facilities handling blueberries, raspberries and Lebanese cucumbers. n
n• Liaise with farm management to plan daily produce intake, labour requirements and packing schedules according to harvest volumes and operational requirements. n
n• Coordinate and supervise workers and seasonal staff involved in grading, packing, storage and other facility-based operations. n
n• Oversee sorting, grading and packing activities to ensure produce meets required quality, size, presentation and market standards. n
n• Monitor post-harvest handling, including pre-cooling, temperature control and storage conditions, to maintain produce freshness, quality and shelf life. n
n• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, biosecurity, waste management and quality assurance requirements across facility operations. n
n• Conduct regular inspections of packing areas, cold rooms, grading equipment and machinery and arrange maintenance or repairs as required. n
n• Oversee cleaning and sanitation of packing areas, equipment, cold rooms and storage facilities to maintain required hygiene standards. n
n• Manage stock levels of packaging materials, including punnets, cartons, liners and other operational supplies. n
n• Coordinate the storage, dispatch and transportation of packed produce to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements. n




n• Maintain accurate records of daily production, packed volumes, rejected or damaged produce, labour allocation and other quality assurance activities. n
n• Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures, including safe equipment operation, manual handling and facility work practices. n
n• Maintain required documentation and ensure facilities are prepared for quality audits, inspections and buyer requirements. n
n• Identify workflow and operational issues within packing and storage areas and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wastage. n
n• Monitor facility operations to ensure consistent product quality and efficient movement of produce from receipt through to packing, storage and dispatch. n
n
nQualifications and Skills: n
n
n• Have at least relevant AQF Cert III or Cert IV qualifications and Have 2 Years of working experience in a similar role in a farm setting. or equivalent or 3 years of employment experience with formal training OR 5 years of experience without formal training. n
n• Robust understanding of agricultural production processes. n
n• Attention to detail and quick decision-making to address quality issues, equipment failures, and operational challenges. n
n• Proficiency in quality control and adherence to standards. n
n• Excellent communication and teamwork skills. n
n• Ability to coordinate with various departments and ensure compliance with regulations. n
n• Possess a keen eye for detail to oversee product quality. n
n• Strong organizational skills are also essential for managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively. n
nSalary- $75,000 - $85,000 per annum
