Yarra Valley Support Coordination is seeking a reliable and compassionate
Support Worker (Casual)
to join our team in Lilydale, VIC.
n
This
casual position
involves providing
personalised care and support
to clients within the disability services industry. For the right person, this role could lead to a
full-time contract
.
What you'll be doing n
Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light household tasks
n
Accompanying and supporting clients to access the community, attend appointments, and participate in social and recreational activities
n
Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to the management team
n
Advocating for clients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure their needs are met
n
Maintaining accurate client records through your shift notes and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
What we're looking for n
Previous experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar caregiving role
n
Robust interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
n




Genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of the elderly and individuals with disabilities
n
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
n
Experience working with
male participants
is essential.
n
Experience supporting
individuals dealing with addiction
.
n
Experience supporting
children of all ages
.
n
Certificate
III in Individual Support
or equivalent
n
Current First Aid certification
n
NDIS Worker Screening
n
Valid driver's licence
