Take ownership of construction packages, solve complex technical challenges and gain hands-on experience across all stages of major project deliveryHindmarsh is looking for a Project Engineer to join the team delivering a major $100M+ affordable housing development in Canberra.This is a fantastic opportunity to build your experience on a large and complex project while working alongside an experienced and highly capable project leadership team.You'll work closely with the Project Manager, Senior Site Manager and Senior Project Engineer, giving you access to experienced construction leaders who will support your development while giving you genuine responsibility for your own areas of the project.As a Project Engineer at Hindmarsh, you'll play an important role in coordinating the technical, design and construction requirements of the project and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.You will be responsible for:Taking ownership of construction packages and coordinating their delivery from procurement through to completionWorking closely with the Senior Project Engineer and site team to plan and coordinate construction activitiesCoordinating subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to achieve project milestonesManaging RFIs, shop drawings, technical submissions and project documentationReviewing drawings and specifications and helping resolve design and constructability issuesPreparing scopes of work and providing technical input into procurement and tender assessmentsCoordinating inspections, ITPs, hold points and quality requirementsMonitoring subcontractor performance, progress and qualityProactively identifying technical and construction issues and working with the wider project team to resolve themMaintaining accurate project records and supporting reporting on program,



quality and project progressWe are looking for someone who has:Experience in a Project Engineer or Site Engineer role within commercial constructionExperience working with a head contractor on medium to large-scale construction projectsStrong technical construction knowledge and an understanding of construction methodologyExperience coordinating subcontractors, consultants and design documentationStrong planning, organisation and problem-solving skillsA cooperative approach and the confidence to take ownership of your workA degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalentBuild more than projects.
