Your Opportunity

Are you passionate about supporting parents to build confidence, overcome challenges and create brighter futures for their families? As a Pathways Coach with Mission Australia’s Parents Pathways service, you will work alongside parents and carers of young children, providing personalised guidance, encouragement and practical support as they work towards their education, employment, personal and family goals. This is an on-site position based primarily in Liverpool, with regular travel across the Miller, Liverpool and Macarthur regions to support service delivery and community engagement.

Using a strengths based and person centred approach, you will build trusted relationships with parents, helping them navigate barriers, connect with local services and access opportunities that support long term positive outcomes. Through individual coaching, group activities and community outreach, you will play an important role in keeping participants engaged, motivated and empowered throughout their journey. Working closely with internal teams, referral partners and community organisations, you will contribute to a service that creates meaningful and lasting change for families.

Your Key Responsibilities:

· Manage a caseload of participants, providing tailored support to address vocational and non-vocational goals and barriers.

· Conduct intake,



suitability and risk assessments to ensure participants receive appropriate support.

· Develop, review and maintain individual Pathway Plans that align with participant goals and aspirations.

· Deliver one on one coaching and facilitate group sessions to support confidence, life skills, education and employment readiness.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, referral partners and key stakeholders to support positive participant outcomes.

· Promote the Parent Pathways program through community engagement activities, outreach services and local events.

· Maintain accurate participant records, case notes and administrative requirements while meeting program guidelines and reporting deadlines.

Requirements for Success

· Certificate III or IV in Community Services, Employment Services, Career Counselling, Health or a related discipline, or willingness to work towards a relevant qualification.

· Demonstrated experience in employment services, Parent Pathways, community services or a similar client focused environment.

· Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to engage and motivate participants from diverse backgrounds.

· Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload, balance competing priorities and meet deadlines across multiple locations.

· Excellent administrative and organisational skills with experience maintaining accurate records and completing detailed case management documentation.





· Ability to work collaboratively within a large team while also managing responsibilities independently.

· Resilience, professionalism and sound judgement when supporting vulnerable people with complex needs, maintaining appropriate boundaries and responding to challenging situations with empathy and care.

· Mental Health First Aid certificate and First Aid certificate are highly desirable.

· Full driver licence with no restrictions.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
