About the Opportunity
Unison Solar Energy is expanding its Operations team to support the growth of Australia's newest photovoltaic (PV) solar manufacturing facility.
We are seeking expressions of interest from Graduate Engineers who are passionate about advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
This is an exciting opportunity to start your engineering career in a high-tech manufacturing environment and contribute to the production of Australian-made solar technology. We are interested in hearing from graduates and soon-to-be graduates across a range of engineering disciplines, including:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering

- Other related engineering disciplines
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain experience across key areas of our Operations function, including Equipment, Process, Production, Planning & Manufacturing Control (PMC), and Facilities, while helping build and optimise Australia's newest photovoltaic manufacturing facility.
As our facility scales, graduates will play an active role in establishing systems, processes, equipment performance standards, operational controls and continuous improvement initiatives from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new Australian solar manufacturing facility while gaining exposure across multiple operational disciplines during a period of significant growth.
What You Will Do
Depending on your area of interest and placement, you may:
- Support the operation,
optimisation and continuous improvement of advanced manufacturing equipment.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency and productivity.
- Analyse production data and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Participate in equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, reliability improvement and maintenance activities.
- Support manufacturing planning, scheduling and production control activities.
- Assist with facilities projects, infrastructure improvements and operational readiness activities.
- Contribute to root cause investigations, problem-solving activities and corrective actions.
- Work collaboratively across equipment, process, production, quality, maintenance and operations teams.
- Support the implementation of safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the establishment of systems, standards and work practices as our manufacturing operations continue to grow.
What You Will Bring
- A recently completed or soon-to-be completed degree in an engineering discipline.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A genuine interest in manufacturing, operations, and renewable energy.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Previous industry, internship, university project, research, or manufacturing experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
