Ready to take the next step in your mining maintenance career? We’re seeking an experienced Leading Hand – Mobile Plant to join a maintenance team at a major iron ore operation in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior tradesperson with strong CAT experience and proven leadership skills to lead a maintenance team, oversee equipment reliability and help drive safe, efficient site operations.

The Role As the Leading Hand, you will play a key role in coordinating and supervising the maintenance team, ensuring all servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Equipment includes:

- CAT 785C and 785D dump trucks.
- Komatsu PC1250 excavators.
- Liebherr R9150 excavators.
- CAT 777D water carts.
- CAT 16M graders.
- CAT D10T dozers.
- Epiroc T45 drill rigs.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and supervision to the maintenance team.
- Coordinating maintenance activities,



servicing schedules, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Managing priorities to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring maintenance documentation and required paperwork are completed accurately and to a high standard.
- Monitoring work quality and proactively addressing maintenance issues.
- Supporting tradespeople with technical guidance and problem-solving.
- Working closely with supervisors to meet operational and maintenance requirements.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- An Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification.
- A minimum of 8 years' post-trade experience within the mining industry.
- Extensive experience working on CAT 785C and 785D haul trucks.
- Proven leadership experience within a mobile maintenance environment.
- Strong communication, leadership and people management skills.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete maintenance documentation.
- A proactive approach to safety, equipment reliability and work quality.
