The Opportunity
Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Locum GP VMO Emergency Doctor to support Emergency Department and inpatient services across rural and remote Western NSW.
This role suits GP VMOs and rural generalists who want strong daily rates in rural and remote hospitals, across upcoming dates through summer and into autumn.
Blocks run from a few days to around a week, at $2,000 to $2,700 per day.

Clinical Environment
• Rural and remote hospital emergency and inpatient care, with local nursing staff on site
• Sole doctor on call 24/7, called by nursing staff, vCare or the Virtual Rural Generalist Service
• In-person review of cases through the day, and of the more urgent cases overnight
• Virtual support from vCare and the Virtual Rural Generalist Service in emergencies

Requirements
• Current AHPRA Registration (General or Specialist)
• Recent emergency experience, comfortable working as the sole on-call doctor
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete onboarding and system training

Location
Western NSW covers rural and remote communities, with wide open country, small towns and a slower pace than the city.
This is a strong chance for a GP VMO wanting well paid rural emergency work with virtual support behind you.

Referral Program

Successful referrals can receive a $1,100 prepaid gift card for non-specialist doctors, or $1,600 for specialist/consultant referrals, once the referred doctor has completed the required shifts.
