About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Psychologist who enjoys supporting the development of other clinicians while maintaining a strong clinical caseload?
We are seeking a Leadership Psychologist to join a supportive multidisciplinary team on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, providing high-quality psychological services to children, adolescents and families.
This opportunity is suited to an experienced Psychologist who is passionate about clinical mentoring, career development and collaborative practice. You will provide guidance and support to a team of three psychologists while continuing to deliver psychological assessment and intervention.
The role maintains a strong clinical focus, with approximately 3–4 hours per week allocated to leadership, mentoring and team development.
Both four-day part-time and full-time arrangements are available, depending on the successful candidate and organisational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Psychology Services
- Provide evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention to children aged 5–18 and their families.
- Manage an agreed clinical caseload, with a target of approximately 18 families per week across four days.
- Develop and review individualised treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Support children and families, including those accessing services through the NDIS.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, reports and case notes.
Clinical Leadership and Mentoring
- Provide clinical mentoring and professional guidance to three psychologists.
- Conduct regular mentoring sessions and support reflective practice.
- Assist clinicians with complex presentations, clinical reasoning and decision-making.
- Support the development of clinical skills, confidence and professional capabilities.
- Contribute to clinician retention and a positive, supportive team culture.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Early Intervention Teachers and other professionals.
- Participate in case conferences, peer learning and Psychology Hubs.
- Promote evidence-based practice, ethical standards and high-quality clinical care.
- Build effective working relationships with families and external professionals.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Psychology.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Medicare Provider Number.
- Significant experience working with children,
adolescents and families.
- At least five years’ experience mentoring, supervising or supporting other psychologists or clinicians.
- Experience delivering psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions.
- Strong clinical reasoning, formulation and assessment skills.
- The ability to balance clinical responsibilities with mentoring and leadership activities.
- A warm, approachable and collaborative communication style.
- A commitment to evidence-based, ethical and person-centred care.
