We are currently seeking a Project Leader – Structural Engineer (Buildings) to join a highly regarded engineering consultancy with a strong pipeline of major building projects.

This position will suit a genuine Senior to Associate level Structural Engineer who has demonstrated experience leading structural engineering projects and is ready to take greater ownership of project delivery, technical outcomes, client relationships and team leadership.

This opportunity is more than simply a senior design role. It is an opportunity to become a key project leader within an established Buildings Structures team.

The Opportunity As Project Leader, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of major structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.

Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will provide technical leadership while ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and commercially effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the structural engineering delivery of major building projects
- Taking ownership of projects from concept through to construction
- Providing technical leadership and engineering direction
- Managing project scope, deliverables, programme and resources
- Leading structural design development and design reviews
- Coordinating structural solutions with architectural and other engineering disciplines
- Working directly with clients, architects, contractors and project stakeholders
- Providing technical advice and resolving complex structural issues
- Reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Managing project risks, quality and design outcomes
- Mentoring and developing Senior, Intermediate and Graduate Engineers
- Supporting business development and client relationship management




- Contributing to the continued growth of the Buildings Structures team

Major Building Projects
You will have the opportunity to lead projects across a diverse range of major developments, potentially including:

- Major commercial buildings
- Mixed-use developments
- Data centres
- Education
- Major precinct developments

The role is particularly suited to an engineer who enjoys complex projects, multidisciplinary coordination and taking ownership of the overall engineering outcome.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for a genuine Senior to Associate level Structural Engineer with:

- Strong Australian consulting engineering experience
- Extensive experience across commercial/building structures
- Demonstrated experience leading major structural engineering projects
- Strong technical capability across concrete and/or steel structures
- Experience managing project delivery and technical teams
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and senior project stakeholders
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- The ability to mentor and develop other engineers
- Strong commercial awareness and project management capability
- A desire to take the next step into greater leadership responsibility
