Our client, an Industrial Painting & Blasting business based in Maddington, is seeking a Trades Assistant with basic MIG welding experience to join the team. Put your welding skills to work in a diverse workshop role with a family-owned company. Join a well looked after and close-knit team of five, learn new skills and work towards a permanent position after three months.

- $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience, paid weekly.

The role
You’ll carry out MIG welding, basic fabrication and repairs, while helping with paint preparation, blasting and general yard duties. Your work will include:
- MIG Welding and basic fabrication of industrial equipment such as radiator shrouds, industrial fans and transfer cases.
- Using an oxy cutter to flame-cut holes.
- Drilling holes in casings.
- Removing silicone from transfer cases.
What you’ll bring
- At least six months’ MIG or stick welding experience.
- Basic fabrication skills and previous workshop experience.
- A driver’s licence; manual preferred. HR license advantageous
- A Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one.
- A practical approach, willingness to learn and ability to work well with others.
Previous painting or blasting experience will be well regarded.
