Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced AO4 Procurement Officer to support the delivery of procurement and purchasing activities within a Queensland Government environment.
This role will involve managing procurement processes across a diverse range of goods and services, providing advice on procurement best practice, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake end-to-end procurement activities in accordance with Queensland Government purchasing policies and procedures.
- Assist with procurement planning, supplier research, market analysis, risk assessments and procurement strategies.
- Prepare Requests for Quote (RFQs), Invitations to Offer (ITOs), evaluation criteria and associated tender documentation.
- Coordinate tender evaluations, supplier negotiations, contract drafting and contract management activities.
- Undertake spend analysis and forward procurement planning to identify purchasing requirements.
- Provide procurement advice and support to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance and value for money.
- Assist with contract management documentation, supplier performance monitoring and compliance audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, reduce costs and increase operational efficiencies.
- Support the Procurement Team Leader with reporting, purchasing guidelines and general procurement activities.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience managing RFQs, ITOs and purchasing through established supply arrangements.
- Sound knowledge of Queensland Government procurement policies, frameworks and purchasing procedures.
- Experience preparing tender documentation, evaluation reports and procurement recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse procurement practices, identify improvements and support team development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases and financial management systems.
- Robust organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
the successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrated government procurement experience, preferably within the Queensland Government
- Experience in Significant Procurement Planning
- Experience managing Open Market Tenders / Invitations to Offer
- Proficiency in TechnologyOne (Finance Module is essential)
- Desirable: experience with other TechnologyOne modules, including Contract Management

- Current driver's licence.
