The Opportunity As an ICU Registrar, you will work within a multidisciplinary critical care team managing patients with complex and life-threatening conditions.
Depending on the hospital and position, your responsibilities and clinical exposure may include:

- Assessment and management of critically unwell patients
- Complex medical and surgical intensive care presentations
- Airway management and ventilatory support
- Vascular access and critical care procedures, appropriate to your level of training
- Acute resuscitation and management of clinical deterioration
- Participation in Medical Emergency Team (MET) and Code Blue responses
- Perioperative and postoperative critical care
- Collaboration with Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics and other inpatient specialties




- Participation in clinical handovers, ward rounds and multidisciplinary discussions
- Registrar teaching, clinical education and ongoing professional development
