About us
National Media is one of Australia's fastest-growing companies and was recognised in the 2025 AFR Fast 100. We deliver some of the country's most influential B2B exhibitions, creating platforms where professionals connect, trade and grow. Our culture is built on pace, ownership and high standards. We move quickly, think commercially and challenge conventional approaches to deliver events that influence markets and support real business growth.
The opportunity
We are seeking a creative, highly organised Marketing Executive to support our Design Portfolio, home to Australia’s premier trade events for the Architecture & Design (A&D;) industry.
You will operate at the intersection of commercial B2B growth and high-end design. Your role bridges the gap between premier brands showcasing flawless products and finishes, and the top interior designers, architects, and specifiers who visit our trade floors to source them.
As Marketing Executive, you will be the engine driving day-to-day campaign delivery, owning high-converting eDMs, visually beautiful social content, SMS, partner marketing, web updates, and live on-site execution.
This role is built for a sharp, creatively minded marketer with early B2B or trade exhibition experience who genuinely lives and breathes content. You have a natural eye for elevated visual storytelling, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and manage your time seamlessly to hit tight campaign deadlines while building deeper campaign ownership over time.
Core responsibilities
Email & SMS marketing
- Build, schedule and deploy eDMs across the Design portfolio
- Manage SMS scheduling and deployment in line with campaign plans
- Support list segmentation, hygiene and send accuracy
Social media & community management
- Plan, create, schedule and publish content across all brands
- Proactively manage community engagement (comments, DMs, replies)
Content creation & design
- Adapt marketing assets using approved templates, including social media, email, and other promotional materials
- Work within brand guidelines to ensure consistency across portfolios
Partnerships & exhibitor marketing
- Lead on exhibitor, sponsor and partner marketing activity
- Execute contracted sponsorship and partner deliverables
- Manage speaker and special guest promotions
- Build effective working relationships with exhibitors, partners and agencies
Website management
- Maintain and update event websites to ensure content accuracy and relevance
Customer & stakeholder enquiries
- Manage marketing inboxes
- Act as the first point of contact for inbound customer enquiries
- Ensure timely, professional and brand-appropriate responses
Data management & reporting
- Clean, manage and maintain marketing databases
- Track, analyse and report on campaign performance
- Maintain tracking files and contribute to campaign reporting
Marketing administration
- Manage event listings across external platforms
- Provide general marketing administration support to the portfolio
On-site event delivery
- Support on-site marketing activity during events as required
Other
- Assist with additional duties as directed by the Head of Marketing
About you
- 3 years’ experience in marketing (B2B or events exposure preferred)
- Strong execution capability across email, digital and campaign delivery
- Comfortable managing multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
- High attention to detail and robust organisational skills
- Confident written communication and stakeholder management
- Proactive, reliable and increasingly independent
- Commercially aware with a willingness to learn and improve
Development & progression
This role has scope to expand as capability and confidence grow, including increased ownership of campaigns and partner activity. Progression is based on demonstrated capability and sustained performance, not tenure alone.
