Your current role

As a Youth Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Worker, you will provide compassionate, client-centred support to young people seeking voluntary withdrawal and/or respite from alcohol and other drug use.

You’ll help create a safe, welcoming and culturally inclusive environment, supporting young people’s wellbeing, recovery goals and connection with appropriate services and ongoing care.

Shift Availability

This is a rotating roster, with most shifts scheduled during the day and afternoon, plus occasional overnight shifts:

- Day: 7:45am–3:45pm
- Afternoon: 3:15pm–11:15pm
- Night: 11:00pm–8:00am

Your skills and experience

You will bring with you:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health, or a related field
- Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), completion of core competencies, or willingness to complete within 12 months of employment




- Competencies in dual diagnosis, or willingness to complete within 24 months of employment
- Knowledge of the Alcohol and Other Drug sector, including the relationship with the Forensic AOD System and Central Intake Services
- Solid communication, engagement, and interpersonal skills with young people and stakeholders
