About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll run the day-to-day and month-end finance function across the group. You’ll lead the accounts team and make sure the numbers the business relies on are right, on time, every time. This is a very hands-on role. You won’t just review the work, you’ll do it: processing, reconciling and closing the books yourself alongside the team.

Key responsibilities

- Month-end close and management accounts, with clear variance commentary
- Consolidation across AU, NZ and UK entities, including intercompany and FX
- Inventory costing, landed cost on imports, stock reconciliations and provisions
- BAS, GST, FBT and payroll tax, and running the year-end audit
- Cash management, payment runs and credit control
- Building the detailed budget and tracking results against it
- Strengthening internal controls and getting the most out of NetSuite
- Leading, coaching and developing the accounts team

About you

- CA or CPA qualified
- 5+ years in a senior finance role, ideally as a Financial Controller




- Hands-on multi-entity consolidation experience, including foreign currency
- Inventory-based business experience: distribution, wholesale or manufacturing
- NetSuite experience (highly regarded)
- Happy to roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself, not just manage it
- A track record of leading a small team and lifting its standards
- High attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to get things done
