About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join us full time and lead the delivery of high-quality, recovery-oriented care.
As NUM, you’ll guide and mentor our multidisciplinary team, provide direct care, and make sure our practice meets the highest qualified standards. You’ll help participants build hope, self-awareness and connection with their community, working alongside them in a therapeutic partnership built on equality and respect. Together, you’ll explore what’s meaningful and helpful for each person’s recovery.
In this role, you’ll:
- Help shape Wandi Nerida’s strategic direction
- Provide clinical leadership to our multidisciplinary clinical and support team
- Champion and uphold the BFEEDT model of care
- Lead and manage the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organisational policies.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress.
- Facilitate staff training and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in using healthcare management software and electronic health records.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in caring for those affected by Eating Disorders, or a keen interest in this space and mental health care.
