We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Care Worker to provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Skills:
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to show empathy and understanding towards individuals with disabilities
– Robust problem-solving abilities
– Patience and resilience when faced with challenging situations
– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
– Assist individuals with disabilities in performing daily tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management,
and household chores
– Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
– Help clients participate in recreational activities or therapy sessions
– Monitor the health and well-being of clients, reporting any concerns or changes in condition to supervisors
– Maintain accurate records of client progress and interactions
– Collaborate with other care team members to ensure the highest level of care is provided
Qualifications:
– Certificate III or IV in Disability Services (or similar qualification)
– Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
– Valid First Aid certification
– Clear National Police Check
– Valid driver’s license
-Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
