We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Stationhand to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and operation of a station or farm. The Stationhand will work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth running of the station and the welfare of the animals.
Responsibilities:
- Feeding and watering livestock
- Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures
- Assisting with animal husbandry tasks such as shearing, branding, and vaccination
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment
- Fencing and general maintenance of the station or farm
- Assisting with mustering and yard work
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of all animals on the station or farm
- Maintaining accurate records of animal movements and treatments
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on a station or farm
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
