As a Recovery Officer in our Property Recoveries team, you will play a crucial role in managing pre-litigated recovery claims for damages to our customers’ property. You will investigate incidents and pursue resolutions that balance commercial interests with customer satisfaction and legal considerations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of property recovery claims from initiation to resolution.
- Issue tailored written demands to third parties, clearly outlining liability based on the unique facts of each case.
- Conduct outbound calls to third parties and insurers to pursue recoveries.
- Review technical reports (e.g., building, plumbing, electrical) to assess liability.
- Confirm quantum by matching quotes to invoices and verifying documentation of damage.
- Use internal and external tools to locate contact and insurance details.
- Negotiate and resolve disputes regarding liability and quantum.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Entry-level experience in customer service or claims management is desirable but not required; training will be provided.
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to articulate complex information clearly.
