Join our market-leading Banking & Finance team working with Yuen-Yee Cho, Dan Flanagan, Zoe Anderson and Stephen Sharpe on the most complex and high-profile finance transactions in the market.
Our team advises on a broad range of matters across acquisition/leveraged, corporate and digital infrastructure financings, private capital and debt restructurings. They work across a wide range of debt products, including senior bank debt, mezzanine debt, unitranche facilities, syndicated Term Loan Bs, holdco and subordinated financings, and bring deep expertise to structuring and negotiating terms across those products.
Our client base is broad and sophisticated. You will work with global and domestic private equity sponsors, major corporates (including in the digital infrastructure space such as data centres and neoclouds), banks, investment banks, and private debt funds on domestic, international and cross-border matters.
Widely recognised as a leading practice in acquisition/leveraged, corporate and digital infrastructure financings, our team is known for combining strong technical excellence with sound commercial judgement. Our team has a culture of high performance, continuous learning and real teamwork, with a strong focus on training and development so lawyers build into well-rounded finance practitioners.
The role
You will work closely with the partners and take a hands-on role in the structuring and execution of complex transactions. You will:
- advise lenders, borrowers, sponsors and corporates on leading edge financing transactions
- draft and negotiate facility agreements, intercreditor arrangements and security documents
- assist on refinancings, private capital transactions and debt restructurings
- manage key transaction workstreams and help drive deal execution
- build strong client relationships and contribute to business development
- mentor junior lawyers and support team development at Senior Associate level
About you
You will be a Solicitor (2–4 PQE) or a Senior Associate from a top-tier, international or strong mid-tier firm with experience in banking and finance.
You will bring:
- robust technical, drafting and analytical skills
- experience across leveraged, acquisition or corporate finance transactions
- commercial judgement and a practical approach
- a strong client service mindset
- enthusiasm for deal work and the finance market more broadly
- a collaborative style, team focus and a good sense of humour
